Pink is the New Green

There was a tie when all we could see on the ramps and fashion shows was the color green and its shades. The color was a grace in the designer shops and all the high class designers loved working with this color. It was said that in summers the lighter shades of green can rock the season and in winters, the more dark the shade, the better.
But it looks like the situation has changed over the recent times when the fashion world moved on from green and found a refuge in another color, pink. The color took the fashion world by storm and gave the fashion fanatics a new thing to drool over and to admire. Now all you see is pink and shades of it in designer shops, fashion stores, clothes markets and movies.

Pink is not restricted to just teenage or young people as some may think. It is a color full of life and its brightness is the best part. Where it is a color that defines the life of a girl when she enters teenage, it can bring back the youth in life when you wear this color. As this color is much bright and lively in itself, it does not need a lot of accessorizing with it which makes it a convenient color to wear.
Another good thing about the pink color is that all its shades can go well with all kinds of colors and it looks good with all kinds of fabric. From denims to silks and from evening gowns to cotton, wear pink and you will be flaunting your beauty. Some of the biggest names in the celebrity world like Paris Hilton has worn evening gowns with pink shades on the award shows and movie premiers and have awed the critics and the fans with her style.
Contrary to the popular belief, pink is also the color of men. Like Paula Abdul once said to a contestant on the hit reality television series, American Idol, that it takes a real man to wear pink. Chosen the right shades, pink can also bring out the best in a man and can become a fashion statement.
