Toe nail fungus, known as Onychomycosis, fungal infections are common on the toenails with nail yellowing and thickening characteristics. Toenail fungus is caused by many conditions of the foot in warm, moist, and dark, it is commonly found in shoes or socks.
Other factors besides the environment with the increasing age of the nail will thicken and grow very slowly and reduced immunity to infection makes the nail easily.
